Parent Swap FAQs
Do I need to be a member to participate in Parent Swap? No. Anyone can post a listing or view a listing.
How much does it cost? Nothing? It is absolutely free.
What type of items or listings can I post? Only items that pertain to pregnancy, parenting, or green living can be posted. Please see a detailed explanation in our terms and conditions.
Can I post a listing for a toy or apparel that is not organic or natural? Yes. It is better to recycle the plastic toys and clothes out there than throw them in the trash (or even buy new ones). Also, the older the item, the more time it has had to off-gas any harmful chemicals that might have been used in production.
I had someone respond to my post telling me they would send a check or money order. What should I do? Always use discretion when it comes to online financial transactions. Although OrganicGreenMommy does not endorse any particular online payment methods, many online shoppers have success using programs like Paypal, which have safeguards against fraud. Please read our terms and conditions before participating in any aspect of our website. By participating you are agreeing that you have both read and agree to our terms and conditions and policies. As a warning it is best to protect yourself and never accept payment terms that could be fraudulent including money orders. That being said, we at OrganicGreenMommy believe it is best to swap or give away your items or sell your items locally.
I am having technical trouble with uploading my listing, what should I do? Please send us an email to tech@parentswap.org
How many pictures can I upload? 1
How does Parent Swap distinguish between Nanny, Babysitter, and Mother’s Helper? A Nanny is a full time or part time person providing childcare at your home. A babysitter is an occasional child-care provider. A Mother’s Helper, usually a young person, helps with childcare while mom or parents are home.
